Jameson 2021 Japan Izakaya Limited Edition
“Jameson Japan Limited 2021” is the third in the popular Japan-only bottle series released in 2018 and 2020. Made in Ireland and loved around the world as the No. 1 Irish whiskey, Jameson develops label designs for just one country only for the Japanese market.

For the third installment, Irish designer David McMillan is appointed. Ireland, the birthplace of Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day, has created a “tasting” limited edition design that pays homage to Japanese culture. The theme of the design is “connection”. Various people share the same time, enjoy their favorite drinks and snacks, and connect with their friends. With the motif of a Japanese “izakaya”, they express the interaction between Ireland and Japan, and their cross-border friends.

Jameson 2016 St. Patrick's Day
The work of Dublin street artist, James Earley, the bottle marks the start of the brand’s ‘#BeOriginal’ campaign, which was launched globally in March 2016.

The 2016 bottle was inspired by the bridges crossing the River Liffey in Dublin, and reflects how structures like this represent the “soul of modern Dublin” by linking spaces, people and ideas. Earley has incorporated key features of Irish bridges into his design, including the Grattan, Sean O’Casey and Samuel Beckett, while also depicting his love for Dublin through details such as the Atlantis and Anna Livia visual icons.

He has also used the slogan ‘Dublin, our city’, to emphasise the “welcoming atmosphere of the city”.

Bushmills 1608 Anniversary Edition
Bushmills 1608 Anniversary Edition was released in 2008 to celebrate Bushmills' 400th anniversary. It was on April 20, 1608, that King James I granted the Governor of Co Antrim a license to distil in the area. What makes this release even more interesting is the use of crystal malt in the grain bill. Crystal malt is traditionally used by brewers to add body and colour to their beers. When used at Bushmills, it resulted in a fuller flavoured spirit that takes on some jammy and caramelised flavours once matured. Master Distiller Colum Egan added a very, very small proportion of grain whiskey to the crystal malt to add a bit of balance.
