Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Blanc 2020
There is a subtle note of petrol is present on the admirably pure and cool aromas of apple, pear, lemon-lime and mineral reduction. The succulent, concentrated and almost painfully intense larger-scaled flavors brim with both dry extract and an almost aggressive stoniness that adds a sense of lift to the powerful yet refined, chalky and youthfully austere finale. Like the '21 version, this compact, bone-dry and borderline tannic effort is clearly very backward, and I would expect an almost glacial evolution in bottle though it should be well worth the wait. A classic Musigny blanc. Allen Meadows, (91), June 2023

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Blanc 2018
The 2018 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Blanc Grand Cru, which is aged in 20% new oak, is lucid silver in color. Its gorgeous bouquet features scents of lemon thyme, mirabelle, orange zest and touches of crushed stone, conveying energy and tension. A menthol note emerges with time in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with peach, lemon curd, almond and praline notes. Not exotic but sensual and beautifully defined.
