The Legend of Cuban Rum Pre-1962 is an exquisite rum produced in Cuba and bottled by the independent bottler Valdespino. Distilled in 1944 from molasses with a column still, it has an ABV of 45%. A Guyana rum, this was distilled at the Port Morant distillery. The cask was specially selected by Jim McEwan, Bruichladdich's Master Distiller. The rum was then transferred into a Tempranillo wine cask from Ribera del Duero and the new cask was kept for at the Bruichladdich distillery for its "finish".
