Martell Création Grand Extra

This Martell Création Grand Extra, created for key markets such as Asia, Russia, the USA and, of course, duty-free made its debut in Asia in November 2006, followed by Malaysia in January 2007 and the other target markets later that year. Création Grand Extra is the product of several years of work by the Martell cellar master Bruno Lemoine, using some of the oldest eau-de-vie on hand, and is intended as a tribute to the Martell founder. The company says it is a reinterpretation of the Martell Extra, which was first conceived in the early nineteenth century but never widely distributed.

Martell Assemblage Exclusif de 3 Millésimes
Released in 2015 as one of a few bottles to celebrate Martell's 300th birthday, Assemblage is a blend of three vintages. Each vintage was selected for its representation of each century in Martell's history. The Grande Champagne is from 1957 and represents the first century for its power and structure. The Fins Bois, which is the largest of the sub-regions of Cognac, is from 1982 and represents the second century for its rapid growth and rise in stature. The Borderies from 1979 represents the third century which has become a signature of Martell, particularly for its Cordon Bleu bottling. Only 3,708 bottles were released.

Martell Cordon Argent

Martell created Cordon Argent, aged 60 years, in the 1920s as their top-level Cognac. It took until the mid-1930's before the name Cordon Argent was actually used, previously it was named Extra. In 1948 Martell re-designed Cordon Agent as part of a trademark application which however was only filed in 1951. This bottle is believed to be from the 1950's.

Martell Hommage à 300 ans d'histoire

In 2015 the House of Martell celebrated their 300th anniversary. For this occasion a number of limited edition were released, of which this is one. For partners and employees, a big celebration was organised at their domaine Château de Chanteloup on September the 3rd, and each guest received as gift this special anniversary edition bottle, of which only 3000 have been produced. Note from cellar master Benoit Fil: this Cognac contains a blend of 15 eaux de vie, originating from the 5 main production areas, and extending over the 19th, the 20th and the 21st century, but the average age of this blend is 60 years. One of the components is the oldest of the Martell Paradis, dated 1802, the birth year of Victor Hugo.

Martell Chanteloup Perspective, launched in March 2012, is blended from Cognac's four main growth areas: Grande- and Fine Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois. Chanteloup is named after the Borderies Estate owned by Martell, with 250 meters the longest ageing warehouse in Europe. One of the sections, where Martell stores 2000 of their best barrels, is situated close to a viewing point overlooking the nearby valley, hence the name Chanteloup Perspective.
