(0 review)

In 1977, Grand Marnier released their most decadent product yet. The 150-year anniversary edition “Cuvée Spéciale Cent Cinquantenaire” is produced with a blend of 50-year-old Cognac, sold in hand-painted bottles, and marketed using the slogan “Hard to find, impossible to pronounce, and prohibitively expensive.” Production of this first batch was limited to 2000 bottles.

Grand Marnier is a liqueur which was first created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. Grand Marnier is a kind of triple-sec, based upon oranges and assembled with Cognac. It was César Ritz who named it Grand Marnier, after Alexandre offered him a sip of his liqueur.
