Denis-Mounié was founded in 1838 by two vinters: Justin Denis and Henry Mounié. Their company achieved fame and fortune after their 25-year old Cognac received appreciation and a Royal Warranty from Edward VII, ruler of Great Britain. In the 1970's Denis-Mounié became part of Hine, later Hennessy. All activities where seized in the 1990's.
