This Castillon Napoleon Extra Old dates from the 1970's. Bottled for the Japanese market this is in fact a X.O quality Cognac, Napoleon was considered a token of quality in those days and, as such, often added to the brand name.

Castillon is a very old distiller. The earliest production records can be traced back to the eighteenth century. At first Castillon was only a producer of high-grade brandy. After having integrated with retail channel in 1814, Castillon established its corporation. It merged with Pernod Ricard Group (together with Renault, Bisquit). The Castillon brand no longer exists today.
