This 50-year old Balvenie Pure Malt, distilled in 1937, was bottled in 1987 by Jack and Wallace Milroy who paid a total of £62,100 for 4 casks which eventually yielded 360 bottles which were sold through the brothers' famous bottle shop on Greek Street in London, with the remainder of the 500 exported to the Japanese market via the Seven Importers Group.

Telling the story of Scotland’s world-famous Hogmanay festivities celebrated annually on 31st December, A Night on Earth in Scotland captures the universal joy of celebrating the change of year. This 2022 seasonal release is a collaboration with acclaimed Japanese-French illustrator Erica Dorn, whose artwork has featured in director Wes Anderson’s films.

The single malt is presented in unique packaging to provide a special unboxing experience and Dorn’s playful abstract illustrations are inspired by the historic fire rituals dominant in New Year celebrations around the world.
