This rare Rémy Martin Bernardaud Limoges Extra is 35-year old Fine Champagne Cognac, a blend of 90% Grande Champagne Cognac and 10% Petite Champagne Cognac, bottled in the 1980’s. Rémy Martin Extra first appeared in the 1920’s, vanished some 20 years later but re-surfaced in 1975 as Rémy Martin Extra Centaure. Production of Rémy Martin Extra seized in 2010 with the introduction of Rémy Martin Centaure de Diamant.

Rémy Martin is one of the four biggest Cognac houses, founded in 1724 by French winemaker Rémy Martin. Until the 1920’s Rémy Martin played a modest role in the world of Cognac but this changed with the introduction of Rémy Martin VSOP in 1927. Cognac Rémy Martin contains only grapes from the two most appreaised terroirs: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.
