The history of Clés des Ducs Armagnacs is intertwined with that of Armagnac, Gascony and this passionate but harsh land which is home to a tradition of nobility and elegance. The first eaux-de-vie appeared in the 15th century. In 1774 Clés des Ducs was founded by Paul Baylac. The brand continued as a family company until 1981 when Cointreau takes over. Clés des Ducs is currently owner by the Armanoir Group. In it’s entire history the brand has never left the city of Panjas where it all started.
